Going North is an art installation exploring migrant journeys across the US southern border. For this project, Aida has transformed an outdoor parking lot at 1639 San Pablo Avenue (between Virginia and Cedar) into the rugged terrain of the Arizona landscape to honor those who have perished in the desert. Going North is Aida’s latest project exploring the current social and political issues of migration.
The outdoor exhibit opens on Friday, October 15 (5 – 7 PM) and runs every weekend until Sunday, November 6th with a special event on Monday, November 1 in celebration of Día de los Muertos (full schedule below).
