Parade, a video and sound installation that inhabits an idle storefront in downtown Berkeley, Parade is projected on a single large video screen, running from floor to ceiling, depicting close up footage of faces, singing about our collective strength and how, together, we will shape our future. A second monitor shows scenes from the past years, testifying to our fight, our spirit, and our will to overcome all obstacles.

Parade connects directly with the public, surprising passersby by bringing joyous messages to the streets. The song was written by Berkeley composer Amanda Moody with lyrics that inspire us to unite and restore our sense of community, powerfully calling out, “I’ll see you” at the end.
